C'est en fac d'arts plastiques que Clément Froissart et Max Zippel se croisent pour la première fois. Ils travaillent ensemble en photo et deviennent vite inséparables.
Ils s'installent alors dans les 20m2 du grand frère de Max, Roger. De sorties primitives, aux journées lascives à regarder Blue Velvet, ils se mettent à composer à trois. C'est ainsi que Candy Clash voit le jour.
Bercé aux beats de Grand Master Fash, nourri aux guitares de Sonic Youth, Candy Clash vacille entre mélodies douces et envolées maîtrisées.
Savamment escorté par la voix de Clément et les chœurs haut perchés de Max ce groupe séduit le public par son tempérament en ébullition.

Une rencontre inévitable !

79 EP (2008, Sister Records)

Based in Paris, Candy Clash is a trio that just became a four piece with the addition of a new drummer. Influenced by Joy Division as well as Wire or Gang of Four, their style is a mix of cold-wave and pop.
With a first EP « 79 »  that received great reviews in the press, the band has been chosen to be the support act of Fujiya and Miyagi’s 2009 tour in France and they’ve also been invited to play with Delphic and Julian Casablanca in Paris in 2010.
They’re currently working on their first album which should be released early 2011.
